Scholarship Guidelines

  • One scholarship shall be awarded at one-third non-resident tuition and fees to qualify a student for a scholarship waiver of an additional one-third non-resident tuition. At such time as the earnings will support a second scholarship at one-third non-resident tuition, a second scholarship will be awarded.

  • To be eligible for consideration for the West Georgia Auburn Club Charles D. Hudson Memorial Endowed Scholarship, a student must:

  1. Be enrolled in Auburn University

  2. Be a resident of Troup, Harris, or Meriwether County, Georgia.

  3. Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.  If the student is an incoming freshman, the student must also have a minimum 26 ACT or comparable SAT score.

  4. Not have previously been recognized with a scholarship valued at resident tuition or greater.

  5. Demonstrate financial needs as verified by the Office of Financial Aid.  If a student with financial aid need cannot be identified, the financial need criterion may be waived.

  • Preference will be given to students who have a parent or guardian who is an alumnus of Auburn

  • Each scholarship is for one academic year. Prior recipients are not disqualified from consideration for this scholarship during subsequent years.

  • If a student holds this scholarship as a senior and is enrolled in a degree-seeking professional program, the student will qualify for consideration and may continue to retain the scholarship until such time as he/she graduates with the professional degree or no longer meets the scholarship requirements as stated in these guidelines.
